Corozal Town has an airport that provides frequent daily scheduled flights to all areas of Belize. There are daily water taxis to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, and, a bus terminal for convenient access to many destinations in Belize and Mexico, including the Mayan Riviera, such as Playa Del Carmen, Cancun and Merida, as well as taxis for local transportation.

Private Vehicle

The Northern Highway runs from Belize City to the Mexican border and is paved with good gas availability. The 85 mile drive from Belize City, takes an hour and a half to 2 hours. Please check out our section on car rental agencies under "Discover Belize".

Bus Transportation

ADO GL Bus travel to Belize from the US border cities via Cancun, Mexico City and Chetumal is comfortable, relatively fast, and inexpensive. All weather highways connect Mexican cities with the border city of Chetumal. From there, regularly scheduled Belize buses make runs to Belize City with stops in the Northern towns of Corozal and Orange Walk.
